I just had Cisco VPN Client version 4.6.00.0049 installed on my laptop. And I have a Netgear router model WGR614v2 that I am using. I have a connection to the internet and I am able to access the internet no problem. But when I try to connect to my work using the Cisco VPN Client, all I get is a status stating that "Contacting the security gateway at 199.254.92.50..". It just hangs on the status as if it is trying to contact. I am expecting it to connect and bring up a box asking for my credentials for accessing my work. But it does not seem to be getting that far. I had no issue with my Microsoft VPN at all, but now having issues with Cisco. When I take a look at the Cisco VPN Client log, this is what it shows: Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.6.00.0049 Copyright (C) 1998-2004 Cisco Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Client Type(s): Windows, WinNT Running on: 5.0.2195 Service Pack 4 Config file directory: C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\ 1 20:24:36.730 01/20/05 Sev=Warning/3 IKE/0xA3000058 Received malformed message or negotiation no longer active (message id: 0xC6DF80C1) When I take a look at the Logs in the Netgear settings, I don''t see any activity while the Cisco VPN Client status is stating "Contacting the security gateway at 199.254.92.50..". Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you so much for your help. Ron
