Anyone have exposure to both Cisco and Alcatel VPLS topology/features?
Alcatel claims it can have 255 VPLS instances and 4k worth of VLANS (or they call, SAPs) per port. Whereas, Cisco needs an MPLS layer for VPLS to work? Is this true?
Any info would be great with cisco's exposure to VPLS.
Thanks,
