Cisco VOice Gateway 1

I am trying install a new voice gateway. I am using mgcp however when a i configure the callmager with the details it picks up the ip address yet is unable to register it. It even sends the configure down to the cisco 26xx. does anyone have any ideas what may be the issue.. this is our second gateway. We did not have issues with the first.

It did register once for a few seconds but has'nt since.... Help ...

sounds like your dns is not configured correctly for the gateway name.

check that the name of the gateway and its domain are the same as in the call manager and also check that there is a dns entry for it in the DNS server
