All,

I have a client that is starting to have a severe problem with temporary storage space on the Unity. What is happening is when someone leaves a message, the file recorded by Unity in the C:\Documents and Settings\svcUnityMsgStore\Local Settings\Temp folder are not being removed and the drive is filling up. Has anyone ever had this happen or have any idea on how to fix this? The only way to remove the files is to reboot, otherwise there is a sharing violation.

what version of unity are you running?
What's the size of the c: drive?
Is this stand alone voicemail only then? Not unified?

whykap,

Thanks for replying.

The version they are running is 4.0SR1
C: is 12.0GB with 4.53GB free.
They are using UM

You can always go in from time to time and delete the log files.

I ran into the same issue and Cisco TAC found that my backups with DIRT had stopped oncxe I restored those everything cleaned up.
Apparently the DIRT backup utility will compact the DB and remove the temp files. It is a good idea to run it anyway as just for the ability to recover from a catastrophy.

Hope this helps

Thanks General, it does! I think BT ended up clearing the problem, but I never found the solution. I'll remember that for next time- have a star!
