Hi,

Im a bit of a network noob. Could someone please tell me (if i am not talking rubbish) how i would look at the logs of a port on a switch. I need to see if there were any errors for the same time one of my ipphones loses connectivity.

We must go always forward, not backward
always up, not down and always twirling twirling towards infinity.
 
Also "show logging". Assuming a log buffer is in place and your network time is set, those logs should be able to tell you if the port is or has lost link. It won't record specific input errors, but it should/can be set to give a good timestamp.
