Can anyone tell me how I can find out what switching mode, i.e. Store and orward, Cut Through, Fragment Free, my switches are using? I have mainly 2924XL's but would like to know if there is an IOS command to show me?

Many thanks

Thanks for the answer - just for interests sake, can I look anywhere for confirmation of this?

Use snmp to look at this OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.437.1.1.3.2.6

This is the system switch mode.

Values are:
1 : store-and-forward
2 : fragmentFree
3 : fastForward

Shouldn't be a problem. Or you may try to issue the "cut through" command on an interface. This should force the interface into cut through mode. The no variant returns to default (store and forward).
