cisco 4506

Sup II+10GE 10GE (X2), 1000BaseX (SFP) WS-X4013+10GE JAE10328ME7
5 of these 48 10/100/1000BaseT (RJ45)V, Cisco/IEEE WS-X4548-GB-RJ45V JAE1115C3GE

Would something like this make sense?

1. with
2. with redundant power supplies?

or something like the below with 48port modules

What is the main difference between these 2 switches?

Not sure what budget you are on, but a pair of 3750's as a core with whatever interfaces you require, with 2950s switch's in a stack for desktops work very well and is generally very inexpensive in comparison to chassis gear.

Backup power supply to keep it all up if a ps failure happens (super rare these days)
