Cisco RV016

I have a verizon router already on the network and I am trying to put the Cisco router behind the verizon router and have two seperate enviornments, with the verizon environment being more public and the Cisco router being more private. I am having trouble doing this. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

Please describe your current topology. And also, what exactly do you mean by, "more public", and "more private"?

I have a verizon router through FIOS already in place. I am trying to create a secure zone behind the verizon router with the Cisco router RV016 for VPN capabilities.
