Cisco router

I am trying to connect from canada to france, we are using Cisco routers Canada 760 and France 1400. When we try to connect give the following error message:
Start sending: 01/01/1995 06:08:16 L08 1 Telephone number Call Connected
01/01/1995 06:08:17 L13 1 Disconnecting Call
01/01/1995 06:08:18 L27 1 Disconnected
We check that password and username are correct.
Any other suggestion???

show a config so we can determine the problem. Make sure that both ends are setup with the same name and password!! Jeter@LasVegas.com

It end up being the authentication. Once we turn off the authentication we could connect.
My understanding was that the password in both sides has to be the same, but about the username????? This connection was working before but we were using Lucent pipeline 75 (Canada) and a 760 cisco router (France), we were using authentication same pwd but different name.
The connection broke since they upgraded their cisco to a 1600.
This is an ISDN line connection.
