Cisco Router Encryption

I'd like to encrypt my TCP/IP WAN data from Cisco router to router. What options do I have and what Cisco OS is required for this.

Maybe do a search on CCO for IPSec. Which IOS is required for any given feature depends on the hardware you have. The "Feature Navigator" on the TAC page can be a big help. Here is the link:

We are using 3des on Cisco2600 routers with VPN that work very well. We are at IOS 12.2(3).
