Can anybody suggest to me the list of commands to do a health check on 7206 router, i just been assign to the networking area in my company. If there any good reference site for me to learn the command line on cisco product. I have to manage routers, switchers, content switch and PIX firewall. I know for sure i will not be able to attend courses for the devices.

In a very basic health check I would verify:
sh proc mem (memory utilization)-
sh proc cpu (cpu utilization)
sh ip interface brief (interfaces status)
sh ip interface <interface> (specific interface information)
sh ip route (route volatility, depending on the routing protocol being used)
sh environment (power and fans status)

Complete Cisco documentation could be found in the following link:

Something else you can do is capture a "show tech" and send it through Cisco's output interpreter. This will tell you about any issues and potential issues with the router.

This is a great tool that seems to be forgotten. You will need a CCO login to gain access to the output interpreter.

Thanks fmonteiro for the advise and to mtashiro for the tips,
yes i have the CCO login and i will try it.

Hope both of you can give me some guidence in the future, i'm really new in this area and i think i have a very deep interest on it
