Cisco Router 2610 with 2Wire 1000SW

Here is my setup:
2Wire 1000Sw:
IP 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.0
Connected to Cisco 2610:
Ip address eth1/0 172.16.0.254 255.255.255.0
eth0/0 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
connected to linksys wifi
WAN 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
LAN 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0

I have the static route to connect the linksys LAN to the cisco 2610. However, to reach my internet i need to place a static on the 2Wire DSL modem, which i can not do, to reach the 192.168.0.1 (LINKYSYS) LAN. Could anyone think of a work around. I tried using the eth0 port as a DMZ zone with the DSL modem. This would auto place the port in DHCP mode on the DSL side but i am unfortunatley running IOS version 12.0, so i does not support DHCP client mode on any interface. Do i need to upgrade IOS, is there a possible work around? Yea i am just trying to get this router hooked up for personal purposes not because i need it. Just a CCNA student.

Use the LinkSys as an access-point only, run NAT on the 2wire, or bridge the 2wire and NAT on the 2610.

Used to nat on my 2610, works good. I have a question about that though. The DSL modem is using NAT as well right? So is the 2610 natting my lan traffic and then the DSL modem natting my 2610 traffic?

No---only one can NAT, hence the other bridging traffic. You can double NAT, but there is absolutely no reason to, makes no sense, and convolutes and cornfyoozis thangs...
