I am testing a new Cisco pix 501. I want to NAT
from an outside address of 192.168.0.4 to an inside address
of 192.168.1.2
the cisco is using 192.168.1.1 for it's inside address to get to the website in the CISCO.
I have it attached to a 64 bit Microsoft XP with the firewall turned off./ I have set up remote desktop which uses port 3389 for communications. The Cisco has given an address to the 64 bit computer NIC interface of 192.168.1.2 I cannot get the remote desk top to connect from another XP unit on the 192.168.0.0 network. The service manual assumes you know everything about access control and setting up the NAT.
I need a step by step config setup. My TCP/IP training is Microsoft and not CISCO. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I just keep resetting back to square one. HELP
