Cisco Netflow

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone used Cisco Netflow? I have it enabled on my Cisco 1760 seems to work fine and I am using Netflow analyzer 5 on my server.

Does anyone have any recommendations on setup or diffrent software that is known to work well? Or best pratices guide somewhere?

I have used AdventNet's ManageEngine NetFlow Analyser 5:

This will generate usable statistics from the exported NetFlow data. You can download and install a fully functional copy for 30-days so you can evaluate it. After 3--days it will continue to work but will only manage a maximum of 2 interfaces.

I don't think there are any best practises for what you should actually do with the data other than create statistics. How you use these statistics depends on who you are I suppose (from an organisation perspective). It could influence your security policy, allow you to judge bandwidth usage and possibly upgrade WAN speeds.
