Hello All,

Client has hundreds of these phones and wants to reuse them with the avaya Ip Office. We have IP office 500v2 9.0.
Cisco IP Phone 7942.

Phone is connected and just keeps saying 'registering' for around 10 minutes now.

Will these phones work? Is there a guide I can follow (I did the usual google search and searched the forums here, found nothing)

How can I get the Avaya Firmware in this phone?

Etc.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Good news guys: The powers that be have decided to sell off the cisco system and go 100% Avaya. Happy day :)

You lucky bastard :)
Well done with this job and i think you earned a star for that.

Intrigant, why didn't you use the 3rd party IP endpoint licences for the 96xx phones?
They are there already and can be used by normal endpoints.

The 3th party IP Endpoint lics don't work for Avaya phones? I tried but it did not work, rel 8.1

It should but i think you need to reserve the license.

Never mind, good for our business and a lesson for the customer...

Very true but now you made me curious if this still works.
