Cisco hardware and Ebay

Just got a Network Module NM-4A/S for $20 with 2 2600 routers and a WIC wrapped around it.

I just hope it all works, if so I will max 1 of the 2610's with 64/16 DRAM FLASH and I will have another Frame Relay switch since I already have several WIC-1T's that I got with a router I bought this summer.

Sometimes you can look in the older 2610's, 2611's, 2612's and 2613's and find WIC's and Network modules cheaper than they sell by themselves

What are your tips for the newbee's out there trying to build a Cisco lab on Ebay?

I know what you mean Dalt! I am moving soon too and can not wait to expand! Keep finding these deals on eBay but need to wait! $50 IDS 4210! Saw a pair of 3640's go for under $100! Two 3550's went for two something! Ticks me off... Moving is a real pain in the burt! LoL

OK, I LOVE Ebay - got my 2 2610's (they are 2612's with extra Token Ring port but basicly they are 2610's!!

What a surprise - they are ex bank routers, config is still there and password break worked GREAT - they have MAX DRAM 64 and FLASH 16 as well as 1 has the NM-4A/S and the other has WIC CSU/DSU - IOS is like 12.2 everything works great - I got both routers, the network module and the WIC for $33 This is what I was looking at the NM-4A/S for alone!!

I will say I have been lucky, but I read the auctions, look at feedback, look at what they buy and sell, ask questions of the seller etc. and once in a while you take a chance that you might have something for the "show and tell" rack!
