first, thanks to all who helped me earlier with buildout of t1 especially John Poole, thanks!

I am integrating a CCM to an option 81c pbx via 2- PRI's with 2 DCH's. I have built out the pbx exactly the same as in our other office and th eproblem is we cannot get Cisco side to see LYR 2 (D-channels) to establish, we tried new DTI's, Cables, reprogramming, chaning RDB, MSDL, DCH to no avail. The loops show enabled, and the dti cards are green but the channles show MBSY and the dch shows AEST. Any one have any idea? Please , any help greatly appreciated!

Check both sides use the same ISDN protocol (see IFC prompt in dch config and in rdb) .
Check 1 side configured as Network Side (Net) but 2nd side congigured as User Side (USR).
In LD 96 DIS DCH, DIS MSDL then ENL MSDL x FDL to refresh protocol settings.

I did this last night, I forced downloaded the MSDL and made no impact. I am setup on the pbx side as USR and the CCM is set as NET.

don't try to clock off of the cisco unless it's the only pri in the switch, that would mean that the pbx side needs to be net.. i would change that re-download the msdl then in 96 enl msgi x on the d as well as enl msgo x.. that will let you see the setup handshake msg's.. post those if you can. that will tell you what is stopping the handshake.. unless your ddb shows you clocking off of that loop, the dch will not come up.. your telling the loop that the clock is on the cisco, but unless you tell the switch that all clocking is coming from there, you've got a problem..

normal for me, is to clock off of my ld path, then clock all other pri's from that.. that puts my ccm on the same clock as my ld carrier, with my locals as a backup

I assume this has already been checked, but you do have a rolled T1 cable between the Option 81 and the Cisco router, right? This was one that has us thinking for while, but you do need a rolled cable.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

thanks to Bryan we found an unconnected dch cable on the MSDL end. Good deal, thanks Bryan!

i would have never looked for that, i connect my cable way before i program.. good catch, well don't keep up waiting, is it up?
