Ok I am new to cisco stuff and just starting my ccna. The question is it possible to configure a cisco router to dial up to an isp with a analogue modem. Some say no and soem say yes. See the following and it looks like yes i know it was windows 95 so not sure whether it will work on windows 2000 or xp

Any ideas or suggestions please.

Thanks

Shaun

yes its totally possible, you can use the AUX port to do it.. I've done it myself..

Anybody have a sample config on this? I tried configuring a 2600 using the AUX port for a USR modem. It didn't seem to work.

I was trying to have the 2600 dial up to the ISP then route the traffic.

Thanks!

Hi can you post your config on here, see what you have. Hopefully BuckWeet may help us on this. Buckweet what router did you do this on??

Thanks

Shaun
