Cisco ASA 5505 Outside interface going down.

I have a 2Meg leased line presented on X21 to an 1841 Router, IP Un-numbered to a ASA5505 Advanced Security device.

Every few days we loose all outside contact. I am unable to contact the ASA from the outside address.

The inside address remains up and If I carry out a reload or power bounce on the unit all comes up again.
Memory is all good/Processor is all good, in a cool environment.
Debugging is all off.

Any thing I should be looking at before thinking the unit is faulty.

What is between the 1841 and the ASA? What does a show interface for the outside interface look like? If you do a few does the packet counts increment?

When the interface goes down, is there an arp entry for the default gateway?

Typically it hasnt gone down for a couple of days since I posted this thread.
Will check out the arp when it next goes down.

I have the exact same problem...

Thread: "HELP! ASA keeps going down", I posted my config and it seems to check out. It runs well for days on end then it goes down hard, I was not even able to ping to the interal inside ip as well.

I have had to replace it and I am now buring new ASA802.bin and asdm602.bin to flash, the odd thing about it i kept getting errors on the TFTP transfer and finally formated the flash and still i have errors. I am going to try FTP and console transfer on Monday.

Maybe there is some bad flash in a few new ASA's.

I would sure like to know if someone esle has this issue. and maybe a soluton.
