We've just got this baby home today, and I have no experience with Cisco access points.

There were no documention in the package, only a note with the link to cisco.com

But I cant get anything do work on the homepage. I cant download the files I think I need. Everything is guessing here, since there is no documentation.

I assume I need the Cisco Configuration Assistant? is that right?

What is the correct procedure for installing Cisco AP's ?

Thanx in advance.

Connect a console cable up and start configuring it, IE give it an IP address, just like any other Cisco device.

Good things with those is that the GUI is somewhat stable, with ours I gave them an IP and then configured the rest through the GUI.

Im just new to the company Im working for, and the guy who usually fix these things are gone for good. So Im just trying to do my best here.

I usually just type in the IP of the AP on my browser, and then configures it via the HTML interface(GUI, I guess)

But it didnt work here. Could I plug in a network cable to the AP from a laptop and configure from there?

I could see the AP got an IP from the DC servers DHCP program, and that was the IP I tried to type in on my browser, but it didnt work.

Im a little newbie to this, sorry for stupid questions :)

Thanx in advance.
