I am using 2 Cisco Aironet bridges that are spanning approximatly 1/2 mile using a Cisco Yagi Directional Antenna on each end. And on occation I am getting this error..."Deauthenticating [Mac Address], reason "Not Authenticated" Signal strength for this link is about 50%. This error takes down the link for about 30secs and then comes back up. Has anyone ran accross this problem before. When this was connected at my desk I could not re-create the problem even when loading down the wireless link. I am using TKIP/MIC for security. Could this problem have to do with a combination of Signal strength and high utilization of this link. Thanks for any help.

Make sure the signal QUALITY is around 80%. Try slowing down the speed, under advance eth or something the choices are 1,2,5.5 and 11. Try putting no on the 11 and if that does not work tryputting no for 5.5.

Secondly adjust the bridge spacing, it is in adv bridge (or something)set it for twice the actual distance.

Cisco AeroNet 350 devices have a timeout function. They will de-associate / de-authenticate anyone who has not had enough activity in a certain amount of time. Maybe that will be worth a look at what it's set up as?

If using a Cisco 350 Bridge make sure it is running 12.0.1T1 code or later as earlier bridge code had problems with de-association. Also if a proper alignment test has been performed , you can adjust the beacon period higher than the default of 100 .
