Hi Guys,

Recently I received a bandwidth upgrade from the ISP up to 12mbps but unfortunately that speed is not matched by my cisco 877 router which currently will not go over 10mbps.

Would any settings affect all this ?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the version and config:

Possibly...change the clockrate on atm0

int atm0
clock rate aal5 ?
clock rate aal2 ?

See what the highest values for each aal5 and aal2 are, and change to the highest. aal5=downstream, aal2=upstream

Hi there...

on this (12.4(24)T) version of IOS under the ATM int there is no clock rate aaX.

Thanks,
A

interface atm0
clock rate ?

post that plz

I can almost guarantee that there has to be this option...

or post

interface atm0
?

Based on that your download speed IS 12Mbps (your upload is 1020Kbps). That looks pretty good to me. I assume you are performing one of the dowload speed tests and aren't seeing 12Mbps? I have 8Mbps from BT and via speedtest.net to my nearest server I have never seen anything over 6Mbps download speed.

You are also not on the latest ADSL firmware (latest is 4.0.18). This can be downloaded and installed separately to the IOS image and is available on CCO, however I don't think this will help.
