can anyone help me with a problem i have with this router.

from our isp we have 4 static ip address one of which is in use on the router i need to be able to assign another ip so when our sales team need access to files from our server they can be routed on the firewall and into the network via the vpn
pulling hair out with this don't even know if it is possible so anything would be a great help.

Is there any reason for not establishing the VPN directly to the firewall?
The standar setup is the firewall connects to the router and this in turn to the Internet, and you establish a VPN session directly to the firewall since it normally has a public IP address on the outside interface.

thanks for the reply

i am very new t cisco's so you will need to forgive my ignorence.
my problem when i give the ext lan of firewall a public ip is i lose internet access from within the lan. i assume this would be because of a routing problem between the cisco and the firewall.
would i need to give eth0 a public ip too or could i give it a private one and route past it

sorry again if this is a stupid question but i need to know

thanks
