Hey All,

When we buy a router from our cisco supplier we update the software to 12.4 which is great cause all our router functions work. Our problem is that when we try to connect the http interface via a PC at work or on a PC there at the store it will not connect. We have this in our script:

ip http server
ip http secure-server

but still we cannot connect it just sit's there with an image reloading all the time. How can we get this to work?

We had a very similar problem connecting to an 837 using XP it would just sit there and hang.

For some bizzare reason we tried it with a laptop with 2000 on and bingo !!!

The 837 does not support XP

Hope this is what you are looking for, drove us nuts for days.

Probably active-x of java problems with the XP browser....Microsoft likes to mess with the security settings in XP.

Hi,

I have read elsewhere that image reloading is/can be caused by insufficient memory. The image load fails, the router reboots and the image load fails again etc etc.

Hope this helps.

Sahajesh.

I have XP and an 837---works fine---I use Firefox as the browser---your memory is probably insufficient.
