Cisco says you can use the console port on an 831 as a dial backup interface via a virtual aux port. I can't find any documentation on this feature. I would like to use it to connect an external modem and have it dial into an ISP in the event the broadband connection would fail.

Also, I would be running a VPN tunnel over the broadband and would like it to connect over the dial backup connection in the event of failure.

Will this work? Also, how do you configure the virtual aux port to dial into an ISP?

Thanks
