I have scoured all over the net for some sort of correct way to configure a Cisco 804 to accept an incomming call from a Pipeline 85 with no luck.
I am trying to allow two computers / networks to connect to each other and route traffic back and forth, but there does not appear to be any documentation of anyone else doing this. Have tried several configurations with short connections, but the call drops and there is no traffic between the two routers. I have read that the Pipeline and Cisco CHAP have different meanings and can cause this situation, but no further data has been located yet, especially since Ascend is of no more....
The Pipeline is calling the Cisco. I have seen some basic documentation on how a Cisco dials a Pipeline but modifying that for my needs has not worked and I am at the end of a long process.
Next step is to re-activate a support contract, but I thought I would try here first.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Someone somewhere must have done this before and can tell me how.
