Cisco 7914 with 7970 in Call Manager Express

Hello,

We just purchased a used 7914 for one of our 7970 IP phone, I have a 6-Pin phone cable and a extra power cube. I plugged the phone cord into the 7914 and the 7970, the used the extra power cube to power the 7914. All I get its red lights on all of the 7914's buttons.

The 7970 is powered by a Power Cube.
The 6-pin cable is straight thur and 25 feet.
We have a CME router with around 10 phones, 25 extensions.

Will the 7914 show up as a phone in the CME GUI?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with CME, but on CUCM there is a drop-down on the 7970 configuration page for an expansion module. If it is not set for the 7914, you get the Christmas-tree result that you're seeing. I would poke around the 7970 configuration on CME to see if there is something for an expansion module.
 
Under your ephone:
ephone 1
type 7970 addon 1 7914

Then add your buttons below that. Make sure you have the 7914 load information under telelphony service like you do for your phones.
