Hi all,

i have another question for you.
I have CUCM 6.0 with cisco ip phone 7906, 7940 and 7960.
I tried many times to change the background image, never succeed. I followed all the instructions, creating the xml files including the images with the exact dimensions and so on, but when i restart the phones the new background images
doesn't appear in the list.

Have you any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Are you restarting TFTP services on the node the phone is registered to?

I don't remember this.
Now i try to restart the tftp and then i will let you know the outcome.
Best regards.

No,

unfortunately i have restart the tftp service but it's not functioning.
Here is the list.xml file:

- <CiscoIPPhoneImageList>
-
- <!--

Please Add Images to the end of the list

-->
<ImageItem Image="TFTP:Desktops/95x32x1/TN.png" URL="TFTP:Desktops/95x32x1/ITS.png" />
</CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

I upload the list.xml under / directory, by the "tftp file management" and the two images under Desktops/95x32x1.

The phone signs "image not available". Are the path corrects?
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if the forum messed up your format ...but this is what I have :

<CiscoIPPhoneImageList>
<ImageItem Image="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/tn-Tau.png" URL="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/Tau.png"/>
</CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

The file names in the list must match spelling and case EXACTLY as the names in the TFTP directory.

7906 requires images sized 95x34x1
7940/60 requires images sized 320x212x12

YEEEEEEES,

you're right, it was a bad file name, exactly the extension of the image file which was written in upper case, while in file List.xml it was in lower case....

Thank you HUgemoNGus, really thank you.

I have other two questions for you:

With the ip phones 7906 everything is ok, i can select the background image from the menu of the phone. But with the ip phones 7960 and 7940 there isn't the voice "background image" in the menu of the phone. Where is it?

The second question is: can we set the background image we created as the default image, so it will be loaded automatically when you restart the phone?

Thank you all in advance.
