How can I clear link-flap counters, or is this done at boot?

clear counters, also done at boot

/

tim@tim-laptop ~ $ sudo apt-get install windows
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package windows...Thank Goodness!

THe clear counters command doen't do it. It does clear everything else.

Are you talking about the logging buffer? If so, then
clear logg
if not, I am not sure...thought that clear counters or clear interface would do it. CatOS, right?

You could try clear controllers ethernet-controller , don't know if this will clear that or not but can't hurt.

clearing counters, controllers, logg or anything else does nothing to clear the link-flap stats

You could potentially browse the flash file system and do a more on the files until you find it and then manually delete the file.
