I have a 2924 switch and I cannot figure out how to enable the web interface or telnet. I know it worked on this switch before but it has been a while since I tried. I can ping it.

You have to look at the IOS config , someone probably turned off the http stuff , it is actually considered a good practice to turn it off if you don't absolutely need it and it is a good way for hackers to get in . Somewhere in the config it probably says "no ip http server" . Of course to turn it on just issue the "ip http server " command .

I've tried entering the "ip http server" command but it doesn't seen to take. It never shows up in the config. I don't get an error when I enter it.

I don't really know this but is it possible that the http server is enabled if it doesn't show up in the config.
Your question concerning telnet: I think that a telnet password has to be configured in order to use telnet.
bye, busche

If it's a default setting a lot of times it will not show up in the settings.
