cisco 2621 stuck in EST

Hi Folks

Cannot get this router to use EDT.
One hour behind.
Relevant portion of config:

clock timezone EST -5
clock summer-time EDT recurring

!
ntp clock-period 17180508
ntp source FastEthernet0/0
ntp max-associations 20
ntp server 64.247.17.253
ntp server 67.106.77.184
ntp server 198.200.182.10
ntp server 66.70.29.130

Is there anything else I need
to add?

clock timezone
and
clock summer-time
both are using different names. They need to be the same...

clock timezone WHATEVER -5
clock summer-time WHATEVER recurring

The "EST" and "EDT" are just names of the deal to use (at a loss for words...at least I didn't say "thingy"...).

The names are the same on both now but it does
not seem to have made a difference.
Any other thoughts?

What IOS are you using?

Could it be an older IOS that does not know the new EDT?

Just a thought, I guess you will know if it changes in a few weeks

It is 12.4 w/advsecurity on it.
Would this matter?
I should be supported.
I just wonder if I am overlooking
something in the config.

Have you rebooted since the change?
Also, try just one NTP server...

I am just think that Eastern Daylight Time is not when it was when the IOS was coded by a programmer, how else would the router know when to change, I know Microsoft had to do an update for this.

Like I said - just thinking out loud or just change the date on the router to June 1st and see if the time is adjusted to EDT.

Burtsbees, but I think Ciscoguy
hit it on the head.

Due to changes in the dates of daylight savings time not all IOS routers are aware of the change.

Add:

Clock summer-time EST recurring 2 Sun Mar 2:00 1 Sun Nov 2:00
