Cisco 2611 Router - NM-1E Card Problems

Just installed a NM-1E card in a cisco 2611 router. Cannot configure interface.. Not sure if it is a bad bay in the router or a bad card.

When the router is up and running the ACT light on the card remains on even when there is no cable plugged into it. When I look at the router through the console it doesn't show 3 Ethernet interfaces. If I try to configure the interface using config maker it sees the hardware but will not allow me to update the configuration - gives error about the module not being the correct one.

So it shows up in the Smart Init but shuts the bay down afterwards...

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Try updating your IOS to the latest version.

Baddos - I installed ios 12.3(9a) and get the same results.

Can you see the interface through "show controllers"?

No, I see the other interfaces but not that one(NM-1E).

It was a bad module... Thanks baddos for helping me troubleshoot this.
