This is from the Router I was working with lasnight, that I had the IOS upgrade problem.

~ The router does not sho any of the interfaces. No f0/0 or f0/1 or s0/0. When you do the "sho int" it returns no output. when you do a "sho run" none of the interfaces are listed. Thoughts- suggestions?

Sounds like the image you chose doesn't support the interfaces you have installed . I would certainly try to use something newer than 11.3 code if you have enough ram installed that is ancient .

This is the code I have on my other 2600, with the exact same interfaces. I tftp this code from that router to my pc then to this router.

Dude, you're driving me off the deep end. Don't you remember the hell you went thru earlier this week? Where the hell did you get these routers? Ebay? Listen---try the FTP site I gave you.

well, I don't want to drive anyone off the deep end, maybe I should just chuck the router in the trash along with the switches and forget I ever heard the word networking or Cisco. BTW - this is not the fault of the equipment, the routers was working great, till I decided to upgrade the code, that is where it all went wrong. I won't post further on this topic, thanks for you help.

..come on McCisco..Tim didnt mean that..he loves you
..please, we need this..
...get the upgraded IOS and lets do this again..

McCisco, I am just wondering where you got your IOS code to upgrade with. I am glad to help, but in your last post, where I stayed with you until the end, you said it WORKED!!!
Is this yet another router, or what? How did you get it to work the first time? If you're sick of the equipment, here's my email address, and maybe we can work out a deal...

Tim,
i am very thankful for your help and you did stay till the end, that is clearly more than most would have done. I am just frustrated with the equipment. I have 4 routers total. They are all in good working order, except this one I am working on. I won't chuck anything. I need to get my CCNA, ( itook a CCNa class, at the time was not in netowkring and did not have any equipment, so now it is like starting over again, I have bought both the Cisco press books and now learning again, I ned like and exam cram thing, ok ENOUGH WHINNING I am just getting alot of resistance and very little help. But I will keep forging ahead. I am to bull headed to give up. All I get from the guys at work is ego bullshit, I could really do without, its like they don't want to help me because they are afraid I will take there job someday. The FTP site still works for me, I will be back at it later todat when I get home. When I mentioned it worked, I think it was premature, when the router booted and came to a ROUTER> prompt. I ASSumed it worked, with out doing a "sho run". i hope to someday be at the level you and dan are at. I just have to put in my time.

Thanks again for you help, I will keep you posted.

I'm just a CCNA with actually no on-the-job experience. Being at my level actually does not say much. Now Dan on the other hand...
