need help configuring a new Cisco 1841 with 2-port t1 vwic. Have the fastEthernet port configured and have set the t1 controller and configured the serial 0/0/0:0 interface for ip unnumbered and to use the ip address of the fastEthernet 0/0. I can ping the ip address of the fastEthernet interface but I can not get out to the ISP via the serial interface. Have compared the running config to previous 2610 with 1 t1 csu/dsu and all appears to match as far as the IP addressing and routes.

In the U.S. the D-channel for the T1 is on channel 0:23, not 0:0. Are you on a fractional T1 or a full T1?

I have a full T1, include is the output for the controller and the serial interface.

T1 0/0/0 is up.
Applique type is Channelized T1
Cablelength is short 266
No alarms detected.
alarm-trigger is not set
Version info Firmware: 20040202, FPGA: 11
Framing is ESF, Line Code is B8ZS, Clock Source is Line.
CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 0.
Data in current interval (757 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0 Unavail Secs
Total Data (last 6 15 minute intervals):
0 Line Code Violations, 2 Path Code Violations,
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins,
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 15 Unavail Secs
T1 0/0/1 is down.
Applique type is Channelized T1
Cablelength is long gain36 0db
Transmitter is sending remote alarm.
Receiver has loss of signal.
alarm-trigger is not set

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
1 carrier transitions
Timeslot(s) Used:24, SCC: 0, Transmitter delay is 0 flags

A configuration setting on the T1 controller appears to be the cause of the problem;

the setting for channel group should have been:

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24 speed 64
