Good Morning,

Months ago I set up a site to site VPN between my company's Cisco 1801 and another's Watchguard Firebox. It's all working fine except for one little niggle - the VPN light does not come on on the 1801. It's obviously not a major issue but I'd really like to know why! It used to come on when I had a site to site link set up to another 1801.

Would be grateful if anyone knows :)

Thanks,

Steve

I think you answered your own question...why exactly, who knows...

For some reason I'm thinking the LED only fires up when a certain type of VPN is established. I have no proof of this but this topic sounds very familiar to me.

I agree, and I vaguely remember them being Cisco to Cisco...

Of course, that would make sense in this scenario, but I am not trying to point out what seems to be the obvious...

I guess it could well be a cisco to cisco thing :)
