NO! You can do it in Illustrator though.
In ps you can also simulate it a bit. With your text tool selected write some text, then look along the options bar and you will see a solid color rectangle and next to it is a curve button. Press it and with that you can curve text a bit. As I said you can simulate it, but can't go all the way around the circle. That's what Illustrator is reserved for.

hey SPYDERIX,
thanks for that,
when i write something with the text tool selected & go for
its options ps says "no options for the Type Tool" is it
because i have ps5.5
the problem is i dont have illustrator
i tried to create the text in MS-Word through Wordart
& paste it in imageready. it works fine.
But now the problem is when i create the text in word
& resize it, it becomes too large(even if i use font size 8) to be pasted in the required area of the image.
do you have any other solution please..thank u

YES you can - but it's a slow process when you first start.
1) Place two intersecting guides through the centre of your circle and one running along the top edge.
2) Place the type tool so it's in line with the guide at the top of your circle and type your first letter.
3) CTRL/T (or Edit/Free Transform) the letter, grab the reference point that appears in the centre of your text and drag it to the centre of your circle where the two intersecting guides cross.
4) Now rotate the text around the circle to the position you want and apply the transformation.
5) Follow these steps for each letter
Like I said it's a slow process but you do get use to it pretty quick and then the process speeds up.
