Guys, this is what I received from the customer.
About a dozen inbound calls dropped mid-call at 12:15pm EST
Haven't had any issues prior or after this occurrance that she's aware of
Please investigate???
The Numbers are inbound 800's into one of our call centers, Where can I look to see if one of our circuits took a hit at that time? I would call AT&T if I new the circuit ID, but I dont know that.

You can do an lcnt on your loops in 60, that will show any slips or loss of frames, it won't tell you when but it will show you if there were any problems.

You can also go to ld 22 and prt ahst and scroll back to the time frame they report and check your history.

either of those work, be carefull calling in a trouble to any provider, they have a habit of doing a loopback during peak traffic.. usually on a single hit i check the lcnt table before i assume it's the carrier...

The lcnt will show any physical loss of connectivity between your switch and the corresponding CO, but there still could be carrier trouble (like a translations problem) that won't show.

You also stated you dont know the circuit ID? First chance you get, let your customer know that someone should trace out all PRI/T1's all the way to the smart jack(s). Having that information is critical during downtime, as some vendor reps who answer the phones might not do anything without circuit ID's. I've actually run into a vendor rep who wouldnt even take a trouble call because I wasnt on the customers 'authorized call in' list.

You might even want to have your customer contact the telco vendors to get a list of all circuits, and cross ref them with the site information (Loops-D-Channels-MSDL etc). The more info available during a loss in service, the faster the troubleshooting process will take place.

LD 22, REQ PRT, TYPE AHST

Print out History is where I start...but the capacity of the history is 64kb max and could be set anywhere in between down to 0

~

History file have to be enable first:

LD 17
CHG
ADAN NEW HST
SIZE 65534

otherwise, you will get nothing
or LD 117
PRT SEL 500

But, if you perform a change to the size, the history, if it was configured, will be deleted and no data will have been retrieved. So, technically. you should print first, then make changes or add it if needed "second"
