Hi,

Has any had any experiences using bluetooth headsets with CIPC?

I have a BT Headset partnered with my laptop, and CIPC recognises it in the audio tuning wizard and I am able to hear the music playing through the headset.

I am able to hear ringing tone when calls are recieved, and hear dial-tone/dtmf when dialing calls however I am not able to hear any conversation.

When doing the wizard it appears that no audio is being recorded during the test. I can confirm that the device does record using other software.

I have selected the BT headset device under the 'Headset' option in the wizard, and on the GUI I have the headset button highlighted.

Can someone help?

Thanks,

Peter

I've tested a few BT headsets with CIPC - only one seemed to work to my satisfaction. The Plantronics Voyager 510 w/a USB BT dongle seemed to work well. I also installed Plantronic's PersonoCall application, which would allow me to use the headset's control button for going on hook/off hook to answer or hang up a call.

Oddly enough, I also ran into this issue with USB headsets. I had to uninstall and reinstall a newer driver for the PC's (a Dell D620 notebook) wireless network adapter. Once that was done, I had no further issues using headsets.
