I get this message once in a while during midnight routine. Not sure if this is normal.

What is the release number on the front of the CMDU card?

Go to LD 137 and type STAT

Post the results.

Did a stat and all of them are enabled. IODUC is a rel 10.

What about the redundancy? If there is a CD in the drive remove it. Does not need to be there and I have seen them go bad by being in the drive.

Are you getting that during a sector check? Not a big deal if so.

is there a disk in it?? could be a bad cd-rom drive, in ld 137 do a test cmdu on the problem side

if you have ld137 in mid, then every 5 days the system will run a data cmdu. this perform a read test on the cmdu. the read test does a read on the hd, fk, and cdrom. if you don't have a cd in the drive, you'll get the error because there's nothing to read.

I received the error message after the read test in progress and before the sector check.
