This is my first time connecting a NT8B88FE to a Norstar 616.
I am just checking to verify that the 50 pin connector gets fed the analog lines from the telco, and the 2 pin connector connects to one of the digitial stations?
I have a similar problem. Our office has the C6 module, but I don't know if it is installed properly. I have been working here for 8 months, and the whole setup (KSU 6x16) seemed to be screwy. We called 2 different installers to fix it, but neither could get the caller id working properly. I know that AA has to be set up for 2 rings, but we don't see caller display on any phones yet, even if we use the F811. Does anyone have any ideas, or any pointers on how to properly install the C6?
I swapped out my c6 module with another one (thanks to an excellent vendor), and all started working.
I just started from scratch with the wiring, I purchased a 25pair cable on put RJ45 connectors on the first 6 pair.
I got some two way splitters, and plugged those into the inputs on the 616. I plugged the telco line into one side of the splitter, and the C6 into the other side of the splitter. This kept it all looking very nice and neat.
I punched down the digital to an empty set, and fired the system back up, and everything worked fine. It is pretty amazing how functional this almost 20 year old system is.
So it was your C6 module that was screwy after all? Is there another easier way to verify this without having to go through a swap and reinstall from scratch?
