This is my first time connecting a NT8B88FE to a Norstar 616.

I am just checking to verify that the 50 pin connector gets fed the analog lines from the telco, and the 2 pin connector connects to one of the digitial stations?

Thank you.

is this a C6? if so the you have to have your co's go into the C6 back out to your trunks ports off the 6x16 also don't 4get to connect a digital port to the C6 as well...

I wonder how the price of the refurb c-6 compared to the cost of a CICS cabinet and clid card.

I'm not criticizing the decision, I'm honestly curious.

Thanks norstarboy.

Is there any additional configuration necessary for the phones?

I have the C6 setup, however I am not sure what to look for next.

Yes!

Go into Administration programming option 9.
Add your main set to who will recieve the CLID without the use of F811.

If you have Vmail answering calls set AA to answer at 2 rings to allow time for the info to be sent from the Telco.

you need to simply add the ext. under the auto line info prompt for that set to see CLID w/out pressing anything and from there you can set up your call logs if u need to. The other end users must press f.811 to see the CLID info or what I would recommend is to program the f.811 onto a button this is much easier for the users.

Well shoot... Last night I tried doing the F811 when there is an incoming call (after second ring), however it displays a small arrow and Line 01.

I am not entirely sure the system is talking to the CII box.

I do see the options under Administration Programming 9, I have setup the main set to recieve the CLID for all lines. I also setup the set to display the number and not the name.

Is there any way from a set that I could check to verify that the system sees it?

I should be getting another RAD today, but that has been so flaky with my v3.5 software.

I forgot to mention thank you curlycord and norstarboy.. I greatly appreciate the help.

I had Auto Call Info to the main set for all lines. Under Set Services I set all sets to 1stDisplay to number.

Are those options available regardless of whether the 616 and the C6 are talking?

Then I suppose I wait until I get a RAD connected, and verify that the 616 has that port assigned to the C6? It will show in there like the ATA right?

Now I will just need to find a copy of the manager that works with XP. Our laptop is pretty far from functional at this point.

did you verify that caller id is activated on the trunks that you are testing, and u don't have to wait 2 rings to do a f.811 you just have to have your AA set-up for 2 rings or more to allow CLID to pass through the system to your sets...

if your thinking that you might have a bad port at the C6 just plug a phone into it and that will be like 20x's faster then connecting a RAD...
