Thanks for everyones help.
I have a CICS with 2 lines and am confused about the CID.
I have both lines to appear and ring on the set, they are in a line pool A, and I did check with the telco, and CID is programmed on line 2.
All I can get is line 2 to show as line 2 when a call comes in, even with feat 811 all it shows is line 002.
Any one have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks again,
Gary

if clid works on line 1 (so you do have a ci trunk card)
and if you wait for at least 2 rings
and if f811 does not work
then telco is not sending you the clid info (just because they say it is ,doesn't mean it really is)

the best way to test it is to use a call display phone direct on the telco line if it does not show up
call in a trouble report to telco

I did check the CID before the system,I plugged a regular CID phone into a jack and the CID works fine, still won't show on the system only on line 2.
Do I have the correct card for a CICS, it is a NT5B, the older one that sticks out of the CICS unit?
Thanksagain,
Gary

It does say CII, the part number is NT5B41, does anyone know if that is the correct card for a CICS.
Still can't get line 2 to show CID.
Maybe I will try changing out the CICS unit see if that helps.
Thanks,
Gary

Yes,line 1 works great, CID info comes up after 2nd ring, before picking up the call. Does it matter if line 2 is the first line that is picked up when you pick up the receiver to call out?
Other than that, line 1 shows all the info correctly when it is called.
Thanks,
Gary

If you are not in the know how to program then suggest to call a tech. 1 hour service call.

Otherwise you need to go to Telco Features in programming under each set/DN and assign line 2 as Call ID=Y

Thats from memory.

swap line 1 and 2 at the frame and see if it works
it could be the line 2 port

if it is the port then you could use port 3 or 4 so you don't need to replace card yet

Thanks for all the help. Turns out I had the fax switch on line 2, and didn't know it had to be programmed differently to accept CID info.
So I did that, and every thing works great.
Thanks,
Gary
