I installed a new CICS w/7.1 software today and set the time as usual. About 10 minutes later I noticed the time was like 1am and the date was a day later than it should be (the 18th). So I set it correctly, and again 10 min later the same thing. So I then did a system startup to hopefully clear any "bugs". System came up, I set the time ang again, then 10 min later the date was a day fast. Here's the strange thing, the time seemed to keep moving thru the system power cycles...let me explain. I was there for about three hours and just before I left the T&D was 12/18 3:18am. I know the time comes up out of the box as 12am so if I was there for three hours the time kept clicking. I just want the time/date to stay correct.
So what is the fix, has anyone had this happen???

If the customer has caller id and you have autotimedate set to Y you may be resetting the clock on a phone call.

I think pstechnician was having a similar issue. Maybe he'll chime in.

JerryReeve is correct, thats what was happening in my situation (the time was coming in on the caller id and update the time). Change Auto Time&Date to N.

Thanks guys you were correct, it worked.

Happy Holidays

you might want to rattle the local Telco to get it fixed on their end as the autotime is useful to have running after a power fail.
