Hi all, 1st post here but I've used the site many times, many thanks.
I have a customer with a CICS that added 4 lines & a CI trunk card. They use Line Redirection feature & it requires lines to have "Disconnect Supervision" turned on. In programming new lines 31 thru 34 (lines 4 - 8)I toggle Disconnect Sup. it doesn't take. (Normally there's a pause when you change a line to the feature & you may get a lines reset but when you go back into programming & look at the line it's says Disconnect Supervision), the 4 new lines after you change the feature & go back to check it's back to Normal plus I'm not getting the pause/reset after changing it.
Hope that made sense, is it possible it's a Telco issue? Maybe the system sees that the line doesn't have DS so it doesn't allow the feature to be turned on? The manual says the service must be provided by the telco. These are regular copper lines. Lines 1 - 4 that have been in service work fine but the 4 new ones are what I'm having trouble with. 1st time I've had an issue like this.
Now that I'm a member I'll try to help others when possible. I've been a Nortel tech since the early 80's when they were direct in the States, I've been independent since they quit direct sales in the late 80's. I'm located in middle Tennessee.
