I am installing a new CICS 6.1 W/cp100. The customer has cnet, I beleive there is a way to absorb the 9 so when they go off hook they have an outside line without dialing a 9. Any thoughts???

To pick up an outside line when going off hook, change the extensions prime line to line pool. Never heard of cnet.

I think you are talking about centrex lines where you are required to dial an access code for th PSTN??

You can put lines in to a line pool and then create a speed dial button on each phonr with 9 as the only entry. Label it as out dial or line pool.

I'm sorry for the confusion, I know it is called many different things (centranet centrex) but yes it is a dial 9 to access outside dialtone. I am sure I ran into a situation where the 9 was absorbed by the system? I can't remember how though...

I don't remember but it was for any local or LD call, the user did not need to dial a 9. Is that where it is located in routes and destination codes?

Actually, I beleive this is done under Terminals/Sets of the extension..you might have to play around with this a bit depending on how you have the system set up...under capabilities...Hotline...make external and put the 9...you might actually have to add a 9 then feature 78 then another 9 for outside line. Hope this info gets you started on the right path.
