Trying to set up call forwarding to external number on a CICS. I have done this before and the only thing that I think might be stopping it from going thru is that the system is 2 digits. If I change to 3 will I lose any programming.

I dont think thsts the case have you allowed redirection in programming, I seem to recall that once you allow it , it should work.

I did allow it.
I set up the route.
set up destination code.
took out line pool code.
allowed redirect on the set.
Even had someone else set it up on another system and the only difference was their system was 3 digits. And their's worked. That's why I'm thinking its the digits.

if thats the case and you can do a reset and change the dn length to 3 digits. this being a CICS, you should be able to reprogram the whole system in an hour or 2.dont forget to redo the voicemail also.

changing the dn length will not change the programing
but if you have a voice mail you will have to reinitialize it
to change to the new dn lenght
