Hello,

I have created a continous form for data entry that can show three detail instances at one time. I am looking for a way to have the "active" detail's backcolor to be different than the others. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you are using Access 2000 or newer take a look at conditional formatting.

Unless I am missing something, that would work if I wanted only a particular field to change. I need the background of the whole details area to change.

How are ya CRBI . . .

So just do all the fields!

Thank you both for your suggestions but please see attachment for example of the form. (or the link at teh bottom of the page). The desire is for the section being edited to be a diferent shade than those already edited. I can't guarantee the last most field will be populated or I would hinge the whole think on it. Isn't there a way to recognize the "active" or section with the arrow to drive a background color?
