Choppy noice in the call

If a call is placed between two onsite IP phones and there is choppy noice in the call.

What would be the possible troubleshooting

and What about Offsite calls..?

how to troubleshoot and what commands we use
 
Have you turned on qos on the switches? extremely easy


trunk ports - auto qos voip trust

phone ports - auto qos voip cisco-phone

If you hit the question mark that's on the phone 2 times it will show you some live stats. If you scroll down to jitter and that number appears high (100+) then you may have some networking configuration or bandwidth issues. If it's an intermittent issue do this while you're experience the issue to see if the jitter is high.
