Choosing a sort method?

I am currently working on a database that has a name field and date field. Is it possible to write a code that would sort the records by date or by name, depending on what was needed at the time?

The there is an option know as Query By Form (QBF)

that will allow you to have your criteria used in the form

drive your query. Take a look at the following link -

What happens in the event of nothing being selected is the query will return all the records that are available.
