I installed a program which changed the .chm file extension program to open with. I know this is a kind of help file. When i went into folder options and changed the 'open with' to 'windows help engine', it gives an error saying this is not standard windows help file when i try to open it. I found out that this is an HTML compiled help file. What program do i associate with and how do i go about it so these files work properly for me? Please help, thanks.

I'm nost sure.. but have you tried opening them with IE?

If it works; then set the default to open with IE.

It's a Compiled HTML Help file, part of Windows and other programs. Just double-click it.

A .chm is a Compiled HTML Help file to be opened with "C:\WINDOWS\hh.exe" %1

Thanks Marcs41, that worked.
